I saw The Mousetrap for the first time in London in '96. For decades I had been a huge fan of the Thin Man, Charlie Chan, Sherlock Holmes, and Miss Marple films so it was pretty easy for me to notice the early slip the killer makes. It didn't matter, though, because the rest of the play is such delicious fun.
I had also seen the film And Then There Were None several times before I caught a stage production. Even though I knew who the killer was, it was great fun trying to figure out exactly how said killer would dispatch the victims one by one in plain sight of the audience without giving away said person's identity. |
