I've also heard the play only described as being in the horror genre (people telling each other scary stories), which I think misses the mark. The pedophile story is creepy, but the last two, which are by far the most affecting, are not scary.
I think the play is about loneliness/isolation and the need to connect, in part through storytelling. It shouldn't be classified as being in the horror genre. |
