New IATSE guidelines slam the door on any more stage-dooring

In this age of social distancing, it's totally understandable. But I'll miss chit-chatting with performers and getting a souvenir Playbill signed.

To me, stage-dooring at a Broadway show was always a bonus, and so unique to theater. Happily, I have so many wonderful memories.

Also, IATSE says no more backstage tours. And ushers won't be passing out Playbills; patrons can get the programs from a table or rack.
