Thanks for the clarification, especially about that the original cast did receive compensation. I thought there still a few disgruntled folks who felt slighted by that particular action.
However, even though Micheal was invited, the original meeting had purposes other than the (absolutely brilliant) creation of a show.
Thanks again for your clarification. I have The Longest Line and read other books on the show, but may indeed treat myself to this one.
