I don't think there are any references in the text to the lovers stripping down, although they do get tired, dirty, etc., so it's an understandable choice. It's been done so frequently, though (I first remember seeing it in the late 1980s), that it's in danger of being a cliché. (Or a tradition, if you prefer.) |
