Of course, the retrospectoscope will always give you a better view than the one happening in real time, but I would imagine the Tonys would have gone ahead with something if they had known how long it would be before Broadway would start again. By the time they decide to honor the 2019-2020 shows, it could be almost a year after the other groups have done so.
