Also of relevance to theater, ABC's ''The Little Mermaid Live!'' got 3 Emmy nominations: for production design, makeup and technical direction.

''Take Me to the World: A 90th Sondheim Celebration,'' broadcast on Broadway.com in April, was eligible for Variety Special (Pre-Recorded).

Sondheim was listed as an executive producer, and had it been nominated and won, Sondheim would've achieved his EGOT.

Alas, ''Take Me to the World'' wasn't nominated. Sondheim's in good company, though. Other composers & lyricists who needed only an Emmy to complete their EGOT: Elton John, Alan Jay Lerner, Frank Loesser, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and Jule Styne. See? No one is alone. ;)
