Sondheim was listed as an executive producer, and had it been nominated and won, Sondheim would've achieved his EGOT.
Alas, ''Take Me to the World'' wasn't nominated. Sondheim's in good company, though. Other composers & lyricists who needed only an Emmy to complete their EGOT: Elton John, Alan Jay Lerner, Frank Loesser, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and Jule Styne. See? No one is alone. ;) |
