Emmys rarely recognize network shows in a major way nowadays, but ''Zoey's'' was a rare musical drama with lotsa theater talents.

''Zoey's'' was created by Austin Winsberg, who wrote the book to the 2013 Broadway musical ''First Date,'' starring Zachary Levi.
