Perhaps you misunderstood my use of the word "privileged"?
When Grace became pregnant, and was going to be a single mom, and at the same time Will realized that he wanted to be a parent. The logical conclusion would have been for them to co-parent the child that was already conceived. it would have been the perfect ending to the show about how these 2 people were always meant to be a family, even if it wasn't in a romantic way. But no, Will had to parent a child that he shared DNA with (and because he is financially privileged, yes, he could afford that, but it was his entitlement privilege that prevented him from even considering if it was really necessary). So now they're going to have 2 children, growing up together and one is going to have "Mom and Uncle Will" and one is going to have "Dad and Aunt Grace" but be raised essentially as siblings. There was absolutely no reason for that second child. |
