A film equipment rental place in my neighborhood I noticed has recently reopened after being closed for months.

After reading the Burstein article I scrolled down and saw that the seemingly irrepressible Tony Charmoli died. He choreographed Woman of the Year on Broadway.

This was a really moving piece to read. It made me think all of the private battles that people are having behind closed doors.

Heartbreaking. I have known Danny since he was a teenager. He and his wife are both great performers and wonderful human beings. My thoughts are with them.

Very scary to read: "Four months later — and here's the honest truth — I'm not really sure how I'm doing. While my symptoms have dissipated for the most part, they also remain in subtle and, on some days, not-so-subtle ways. I can suffer terrible exhaustion. I've had swelling in my hands and feet. I had a few weeks where I had short-term memory loss; that went away thankfully. I read survivor websites and hear from other people who have also experienced this illness in similar ways. Sadly, it seems anyone who's suffered with COVID-19 has also had some kind of residual symptoms."

I know that certain circumstances are seen as tragic. But I can't help thinking...what a GREAT guy, what a FABULOUS talent, how lucky he has been to share his work with us and we lucky to have seen it. His Buddy, that splendid comic creation in Drowsy Chaperone, his Billis, just those three alone.....he has had one of the very greatest careers ever. And she too. Like fireworks the two of them, such sterling examples of how to just be the whole of it.
And now he has the smarts and kindness to share what his life has been like. Unfiltered through the political lens of the CDC or CNN or any of the pundits, we get to hear it, what it has been like. what a service he provides. GREAT GREAT GREAT.
