Ever since watching HOWARD on Disney+, I've been going down a rabbit hole of all things Ashman. On the Wikipedia page for Samuel E. Wright, the voice of Sebastian, it says:
"Wright was chosen to play the Scarecrow in the 1995 Apollo Theater Revival of The Wiz alongside Whitney Houston, Keith David and Cedric the Entertainer."
However, I can find no other record of this production anywhere; does anyone know what happened? Was it announced and fell through? Or is this just a total lie?
