No disrespect to Bernadette Peters and Martin Short (who won for separate shows, not the show they starred in together ironically), two of my favorite performers ever... but I truly felt both Brent and Carolee were given uniquely nuances and powerful performances in a very challenging new musical and deserved Tonys.
