| That this filming will happen than broadway opening nights happening in May. The quarantine before filming is tough but not impossible. It’s been done before to varying success. And Netflix has the money to fund those types of costs that other entities may not. Back in April, I was very positive that this would be gone by now and broadway would start in October. I’m now seeing the light and don’t think it will happen until next fall. Getting a vaccine is only the first step that will take months to implement for large amounts of people to get before groupings. Getting 50 people quarantined a few weeks for filming is a lot more realistic. |

| But it is not just 50 people, and doing this in a Broadway theatre is on a collision course with the state's very specific rules. E.g., distancing in dressing rooms. Doing this at a studio is (relatively) easy; doing it in the Longacre is not. (Oh, and there are very specific and very limited permitting allowances for trucks, streets, sidewalks, etc built into the rules.) Re Ann's question about Netflix, I would very much expect that they are paying for the rights, not financing it. (I also expect this will blow through whatever budget is imagined.) And we are not talking Hamilton here. |

| are you under the impression that they are going to quarantine everyone? or just the actors? I am having trouble wrapping my head around the former. And if they are not, then we are talking masks and distancing except on stage. (BTW I don't think the state guidelines contemplate quarantine, though I assume that could be worked out, all things being equal.) But as I said, we shall see. | |

The cost: $18 million. So, filming this wouldn't take as long, and there aren't as many people, but the quarantine I would think would be the same length. |

| I was thinking also about stage hands, dressers, hair and makeup, film production crew, etc etc. That seems like quite a big deal to me but here again I am a skeptic. :-) | |

| there is mention of performers showing up "camera ready" in the guidelines. I work in advertising & we have actually started small productions again in the state. Maybe they'll only shoot a few scenes per day? |

| The article says Netflix film. I only recently got their streaming service and I’m surprised at how much original nextflix series are on there. They could easily afford the few million to do this. Also ryan Murphy is directing the funded Netflix production of Prom so I wouldn’t be surprised if Netflix is expanding into musicals. Ryan Murphy was also going to do Feud with Diana for fx before moving to Netflix so maybe he has something to do with this behind the scenes. | |

| There's a side range of ways Netflix can be doing this, from licensing to fully producing. If they were fully producing, would they film it in a theater? I can't believe they're that jealous of Disney. |
