But it is not just 50 people, and doing this in a Broadway theatre is on a collision course with the state's very specific rules. E.g., distancing in dressing rooms. Doing this at a studio is (relatively) easy; doing it in the Longacre is not. (Oh, and there are very specific and very limited permitting allowances for trucks, streets, sidewalks, etc built into the rules.)
Re Ann's question about Netflix, I would very much expect that they are paying for the rights, not financing it. (I also expect this will blow through whatever budget is imagined.) And we are not talking Hamilton here. |
