| Yes, and it's a recent change. If the researcher holds a valid, up-to-date New York Public Library card, we no longer ask about the specific research purpose for viewing a video. (Needless to add, this doesn't apply now that the building is closed to the public, but this change was made shortly before the shutdown.) The unions agreed to it, so that rule has been relaxed. However, some videos are still restricted and need permission in advance prior to viewing, and those restrictions still apply. |
