| Came across these Broadway-related face masks. I particularly like the one that's the lower half of the face of the show girl from the original FOLLIES logo. Enjoy! | |

| They look great, but ordered 4 and they're all very thin, poor coverage. Fun to hang on the wall but not really for wearing in public. Unless it's over a surgical mask. | |

| They're really lovely and as a theater geek I would wear them proudly. However...two layer polyester and spandex. I'm more interested in protective value than style. I'll stick with the dorky (not that dorks are bad!) but more efficient meltblown surgical masks. | |

| That’s my favorite, too, but I also like, given the times we are in, the ones that say “I’m Still Here” and “Being Alive.” But I prefer cotton masks to poly. Laura |

| Do these people pay royalties to the original artwork creators? I don't want to support theft of intellectual property but if they are paying royalties, I'd be happy to buy them. | |

| They do not pay royalties or have permission. A 'current' Broadway property could be vigilant protecting their image, banning individuals (DMCA claim) profiting from use of their intellectual property and siphoning off sales...for example you don't see the use of the Hamilton logo there and you'd think that might generate decent sales. It becomes tougher to police for an older property...an individual artist has most likely given control (buyout) to a producer who has little incentive to protect the image. A licensing/publisher for secondary or grand rights doesn't have jurisdiction. Unless a first class revival or tour comes along and objects...but oftentimes they re-brand with a new image. An iconic brand will object and enforce...the Cats & Les Miserable branding comes to mind. Now & forever. |

| If you are thinking of buying, I would send a message to the company (contact info at bottom of main page) and ask. If they are not, it seems likely they would be taken down. They need a verification of permission from each vendor. (It also appears this issue is not limited to Broadway.) The site describes their vendors as "artists." Etsy actually monitors product carefully to make sure it is made by the person selling. I don't think taking someone else's image and having it printed on fabric makes one an artist. |

| I was hoping someone would bring this up. I doubt they're paying royalties, but it seems the logos would be protected. Otherwise, as mentioned, double-ply tightly woven cotton for me anyway. |
