In one of the reviews for the original production of WHOREHOUSE GOES PUBLIC a critic (can't remember which) subtly speculated that in a desperate attempt to subliminally make audiences think they were having a great time the usually tepid audience response after numbers was actually sweetened with canned applause sent to speakers throughout the house. Anyone know if that could be true?
