Thanks for this story. I don't know if you're aware of this, but Danny Gans did a very brief run on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre from November 8 through 12, 1995. (I believe it was only scheduled for that brief a run, for obvious reasons.) I saw the show and I remember enjoying it for what it was.
