MikeM, I couldn't agree more. Davey's a fine Featured role, and Ben Fankhauser frankly deserved a Tony nomination in that category.
He had great chemistry with Jeremy Jordan, and I loved how he sang the beginning section of ''Seize the Day,'' rallying the troops.
But there's no way Davey was a leading role. I even once asked Ben about this Tony ruling, and he was similarly baffled.
(It's a little more understandable why Kara Lindsay was put up for Leading, but I also think that's closer to a Featured role.) |
