Isn’t it still competing in categories in the spring? Of course it is. And voters needed to see the show in The fall before it closed. The same standards are there especially cutting out WSS and North country which probably opened too soon to have voters see it post opening. Pretty much every show competing opened in the fall and voters should have seen it.
I think it would be very unfair to have the shows and potential nominees compete in 2022 especially plays like inheritance and slave play which closed on their own and not shutdown by pandemic. They would not have been up and running in May 2020 or 2022. |
