David Byrne wrote Burning Down The House and Once In A Lifetime. His last record had a hit song called Everybody’s Coming To My House. He wrote Psycho Killer and Road To Nowhere. He wrote Here Lies Love.
Does that trailer showcase any of those songs that exemplify what the show is about? No.
It shows one song written by Janelle Monae called Hell You Talmbout. Wikipedia describes the song as follows - The word "talmbout" in the title is a contraction of "talking about"; thus, the title asks "what the hell are you talking about?" The song lists the names of various African-American people who died as a result of encounters with law enforcement and/or racial violence, and implores listeners to say the names of the dead.
And Spike would be very sad to hear anyone describe his cameo as a micro-moment! |
