| Thank you both for the clarification. I had assumed she was playing Evan's mother, which is a much larger role. But the film may be making significant changes. The linked article says that Danny Pino is playing Connor's stepfather, a role that has been "conceived specially for the film." So Cynthia Murphy may be a bigger presence in the movie. I'm wondering if Connor's stepfather is replacing Michael Park's role, or if it's an additional role. |

| I've read that they're changing the biological father to be a stepfather. I guess that opens up some incremental opportunities for heightened "drama" (and/or a tangential storyline) between the characters... | |
