| From Wikipedia: “Boseman graduated from T. L. Hanna High School in 1995. In his junior year, he wrote his first play, Crossroads, and staged it at the school after a classmate was shot and killed. “Boseman attended college at Howard University in Washington, D.C., graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing. One of his teachers was Phylicia Rashad, who became a mentor. She helped raise funds so that Boseman and some classmates could attend the Oxford Mid-Summer Program of the British American Drama Academy in London, to which they had been accepted.” |

| Prior to his success as a screen actor, Boseman was a very promising playwright. I remembered a play of his that was produced in Chicago, DEEP AZURE, which Chris Jones of the Tribune gave a very positive review (linked below). Colon cancer is surprisingly widespread among younger people. I personally know three people who died of the disease before the age of 40. And speaking personally, a colonoscopy that revealed several precancerous polyps probably saved my life. |

| I was going to post about colonoscopy with a recommendation people have them if they can. I had one ore cancerous polyp from mine. It’s a shame they are only recommended after the age of 50 and you have to pay for them yourself before then. | |

| One may want to check with their insurance companies. I had my first one at the age of 38 and it was covered. | |

| That’s great to hear. I was going off a couple of people that told me had paid themselves because they weren’t covered until 50. I guess insurances vary. | |

| Denzel Washington quietly helped pay for Howard University students to attend a prestigious theater program at Oxford when they couldn't afford it. Boseman was one of those students. Boseman got to thank his benefactor when Washington received the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019. |

| I'm really shocked and very sad to hear this. Besides his role in "Black Panther", Mr. Boseman was especially wonderful in 2 film bios, playing Jackie Robinson and James Brown, extraordinarily well. My condolences to his family, friends and many fans. Rest in peace. | |

| Have only seen Chadwick Boseman in 42, & adored his work in that. Am fascinated by all the theatre work he did, especially as a director and playwright, and so sad. | |
