Columbia Artists Management Inc (CAMI) is gone

There were unsubstantiated posts about this on the often sloppy Norman Lebrecht's "Slipped Disc" site a bit earlier, but now AP is running a more clarified (and verified) version of the story. So sad. I don't see anything on any of CAMI's websites or social media yet.

How awfully sad, and shocking that there was no way that, with their sterling history of artists, there could have been a way for them to stay afloat till this pandemic ends. Maybe also the unfortunate dearth of classical recording in this era...So hope this isn't a sign of further loss in this highest art.

Didn't they also sell their building on 57th Street across from Carnegie Hall? Was the music hall (CAMI Hall) demolished as part of that deal? Perhaps they needed the money back then.

Yes, the office moved to Columbus Circle some years ago.
The 57th Street building is landmarked. Not sure how much that means for the interior, but the current owner is a business school. Presumably they have need of such a space.
