A friend who is in the cast of the musical DIANA posted a photo of herself on Facebook in quarantine in a NY hotel a few days ago. So it appears that the filming of the show really is happening now. I had doubted that the producers would be able to get funding and then approvals from all the unions and NYC governing boards.
I didn't see the show while it was in previews, really had no interest, but I'm now thinking this might have been a smart move by the Broadway producers. So many more people, including myself, will be watching this when it hits cable just for the curiosity of watching a Broadway musical shot under these conditions. |
