Teacher64's post is incendiary, anecdotal evidence to back up bias, cribbed from police blotter. I've been a New Yorker since 1979. It's a city. An enormous one. It endures cycles of city-specific challenges. It's also resilient as few places on the globe are. To prognosticate a dark future is ahistorical. New York City is a metaphor: a testament to survival. Broadway is woven into its DNA, and Broadway will be back.
