| Good question. There was a good deal of pointed commentary in between the musical numbers. He was quite good in both that and, of course, the songs. However, it's one of those shows that is so unique that it would be better to reward him with a special Tony like they did with Lena Horne for her one woman show in 1981 and with Bruce Springsteen for his show in 2018. It just doesn't seem fair for performances in that type of show to compete against actors in book musicals. |
