| setting aside that it is a stretch to call most of these off-Broadway, and that in any event I don't think many would call them the best of any category, I am a bit mystified by how this would play out. The theatres on the list are, to my knowledge, rental houses, not producers. I'm sure any of them would love some rent, but my question is: who is going to pay it under these conditions? And who is going to pay money to go see their typical fare if they get it loaded in? |
