| That's a good point, Ann, to wait and see if there is a local theater that would benefit. I see a lot of the shows at the Geffen (and their online presentation "The Gift" was amazingly entertaining) so I'm happy that they'll get a piece of my ticket sale. Also fitting since this is where I saw the show two years ago. A friend and I were at the Skirball theater at the Geffen last year and sat next to Mays and his wife; we had a good long chat about "A Christmas Carol" and their creation of it. He seemed quite flattered that I had seen the show and that I had convinced a number of my friends to see it as well. It was unquestionably a high point of that theater season (or any theater season, honestly). |
