| I too saw the Circle in the Square cast, quite a few times. Once in 2000, and then several times in 2001. I moved to the city on Sept 1st of that year, and theater was a big part of my coping process (as I'm sure it was for many of us) in the months afterwards. Raul Esparza was, as you said, absolutely electrifying. It's hard to believe that was his debut, it was hard to take eyes off of him. Matthew Morrison was also in the ensemble. There were a few other individuals in that cast that I thought I was going to see much more of in subsequent years, but sort of lost track of: Jarrod Emick chief among them. I saw Gilbert Gottfried, but I don't have much of a recollection of him, other than to say he was very Gilbert Gottfriedy. |
