I really enjoyed ''First Date'' on Broadway. Krysta Rodriguez and Zachary Levi made an adorable couple dealing with their nerves and neuroses.
The songs didn't leave the biggest impression, but Levi did, with his comic tour de force, and his Broadway debut earned him a Theatre World Award.
(''First Date'' ran for about 200 shows, and Austin Winsberg, its bookwriter, went on to create ''Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist,'' NBC's musical-drama.) |
