You reference many interesting films. My roommate is singing "Blue Skies" (why tonight? wait until Friday) so I will distract myself from him by responding to your fun post.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show": I am in the minority on this big time. Have you ever watched it without an audience (as in on cable or DVD). STILLBORN. Tim Curry does go all out, I'll give him that. Barry Bostwick is pretty adorable. Susan Sarandon is OK. But basically for me this just sits there.
"Sunset Blvd." I watch this at least once a year.
"All About Eve": I watch this at least once a month.
The best Andy Warhol movie, hands down, is "Andy Warhol's Bad" for which Susan Tyrell deserved an Oscar nomination if not the trophy itself. I laughed my ass off. Highly recommended.
"Hairspray": I liked both versions. I'll give the Divine original an edge, because at least Divine was openly gay. |
