Some movie theaters in the Chicago suburbs opened last month. I saw The Personal History of David Copperfield in September at a multi screen cineplex -- I was the only person in the theater. I saw Tenet a couple of weeks ago -- there were 3 people sitting at least 15 rows behind me, but it was just the 4 of us in the theater.
I kept my mask on during the entirety of both films. It was a little difficult, but I got used to it. I think people know about the cinemas being open -- they're just staying away from them.
The positivity rate in the Chicago area spiked last week. I know restaurants are being shut down again, and most likely movie theaters will soon be shut down again also. |
