| Another reason I held off taking social security until I was 69 was that I was able to stay on my company's health insurance program which covered 100% of all my medical expenses including prescriptions, dental care, eye glasses, and everything else. When I went on social security, I wasn't eligible for the company program and I had to switch to Medicare, which is good but not as comprehensive without a supplement program (which can be expensive). |
