| The resistance is going to be a lot less strong in a year in which very few movies were shown in theaters. That said, The Irishman was a deserved runner-up in most categories. Pesci should have won, but Pesci has won. His prior win, and Brad Pitt's durability as a star in a town that sympathizes with him in his post-Angelina life, probably cost him the award. |
