| I was thinking about this too...the thing is that this never struck me as a very sound idea. There was plenty of vacant retail space around Times Square even before COVID-19. Between this project and the mall going in under the Marriott Marquis, I have a feeling that there's going to be a lot of overpriced empty storefronts in Times Square, unless the idea here is to make the rents affordable for businesses that aren't national chains. |
