| Speaking of the Hallmark Channel, its first holiday movie to feature an LGBTQ couple, ''The Christmas House,'' debuts Sun., Nov. 22, at 8 p.m., EST. Jonathan Bennett and Brad Harder play a gay couple trying to adopt, and the cast includes Broadway veterans Sharon Lawrence and Treat Williams. Also, ''The Christmas Setup,'' Lifetime's first movie about a gay romance, will star Blake Lee and Ben Lewis on Dec. 12. And ''Dashing in December,'' starring Juan Pablo Di Pace and Peter Porte, in a gay cowboy story, will debut Dec. 13 on the Paramount channel. Notably, these three holiday films each feature gay leading roles, played by out actors. |

| Psssst. Wayman. Shockingly (to myself), I find myself at a time where these three films actually look like very appealing escapist fare. I don’t have any kind of cable TV, so I’m going to do a month with cheapo streaming service philo.com which happens to carry all three networks. I would be mortified if anyone on this board found out. Our secret. And thanks. | |
