This is a weird list to go along with a weird year. I don't think there are any major snubs, though. Moulin Rouge was nominated but lost last year. I don't know if Tina was eligible last year or this year; it was released right around the cutoff between the eligibility years.

There is a new rule for this year that principal soloists is capped at four, which is why four of the six nominees have four soloists each. I believe that there are usually five nominees, so there must have been a tie.

It's sad that only half of these nominees are available on cd-I know they'll be obsolete soon,but there's nothing like having a permanent record of a musical WITH the enclosed booklet.
