| On stage it was basically a YA (young adult) TV movie musical on stage. Fun as it was it was not broadway caliber, and felt almost written to be adapted for TV/Netflix/Disney. Not everyone agrees with this assessment, sure, but my point is that Meryl slaying a song or two in this movie seems VERY unlikely to get her an *Oscar* nom, if you ask me (which no one did). |
