| Every once in a while I come across a real gem on Amazon Prime. From 1959, a TV production of Ibsen's "A Doll's House" with the great Julie Harris as Nora, and a pre-Sound of Music Christopher Plummer as her husband. Oh, and a very young Richard (John Boy Walton) Thomas (he looks about 8) as one of Nora's children, mole and all! | |

| It's very good, although (as ryhog says) it's really too heavily cut but they only had 90 minutes. That's the problem with so many of those television productions that have incredible casts. There's a television production of The Heiress with Harris, Farley Granger and Barry Morse that was shown in an hour time slot. What was the point of even doing that? It looks like amazon is showing the colorized version of this A Doll's House. |

| definitely worth watching for the great acting (you know you are onto something when the unmentioned actors have names like Cronyn, Robards, and Heckart!), the much-abbreviated script not so much. Dig on. | |

| It looks like the only Doll's House available is the Joe Losey film starring Jane Fonda! Any other Canadians notice this? | |
