But not on the original recording. Though that one included the complete depository scene, much of which is not underscored.

oh i was just saying that not having music under a scene or speech hasn't prevented a scene or speech from being included on a cast album of other shows (specifically Assassins... can't think of other examples off the top of my head. Are there any?).

The cast album of Ben Franklin in Paris ends with a lengthy speech -- it runs about 4:30 -- rather than a musical number. The first minute of it plays without underscoring. It turns into a musical number at about the 3:30 point.

Oh thanks, I didn't know that. That's one of those shows I've always meant to get around to the OBCR of but just haven't.
