| The two recent revivals seem ideal (Dolly more than ALNM) for this type of preservation. I'd love to see all of the Hello Dolly original revival cast repeat their performances on film. I know that ALNM's casting was a bit more controversial, though I found Catherine Zeta-Jones very persuasive (despite that wretched Tony performance). I'd love to see her and Lansbury commit their performances to film. I'm sure this will strike some as odd casting--but maybe not if you've watched Dead to Me--but I could imagine Christina Applegate making a very funny Charlotte. |
