Steven Suskin's review on Jay Records "Anyone Can Whistle"

Steven Suskin wrote a wonderful piece on the Jay Records new/old recording of "Anyone Can Whistle" and I thought I'd share. He did state something that raised a question that I am hoping someone on here can answer. He states that the original recording of "There Won't Be Trumpets" by Lee Remick was an "in-theatre" recording that was added to the CD. Was this song not recorded during the original recording session? Saying it's an in-theatre recording leads me to believe that the song was taken from a soundboard recording. (Or something along those lines.) But I can't imagine that to be the case. At any rate, I received my pre-order from Jay last week and absolutely love it. While I would have preferred it not have taken 23 years to get released, it was worth the wait. Maria Friedman's rendition of the title song is now my favorite and Julia McKenzie is fabulous as always.
