I don't want to give Fox News the clicks.

Thanks,
Joe.

Fauci was interviewed on Meet The Press Sunday. He is increasingly unfiltered.

Our situation is dire, and "Thanksgiving" is not going to help matters.

You can find all this on YouTube. I suggest you roll a joint beforehand.

A Manhattan medical specialist I see thinks this situation will go on for much longer because the vaccine is not like a smallpox vaccine that lasts a lifetime. It's more like an annual flu shot. That's his opinion.

While I think this is probably true, we know have a LOT of knowledge about the virus, and a lot of notice. There's no reason at all plans shouldn't be made to have the Delacorte and other outdoor spaces ready for when it gets warm in April or May.

I think this is the timeline many have been suggesting for a while, but Fauci can suggest it with more oomph. What I don't think he appreciates is what many/most have also suggested, which is that tourism will lag mightily not because of a lack of vaccination but because of the economy. So consistent with what he says, I continue to expect that we will see shows with enough local audience [+ true theatregoers with the wherewithal to spend] attraction to carry them rather than the evergreens that depend almost entirely on tourists.

We can’t use past indicators here. I think there is already a huge interest and booking in foreign travel by Americans now for next year. I would guess the same applies for foreigners coming here. This isn’t a normal slowdown of economies that does take years to recover. The summer bounce back of many sectors of the economy showed that until the latest spread of covid.

There is? Where are you seeing that?

There was just a report from the people who get paid to know this shit in the city, and they would beg to differ. Who are you getting this from?
