I haven't heard the Canadian cast recording, but Smith sounds fine on this press reel from the Toronto production (below). Smith's Broadway credits include ''Grease,'' ''Grand Hotel,'' ''The Human Comedy'' and ''The Scarlet Pimpernel.'' But I remember him most for playing Frederic in Joseph Papp's ''The Pirates of Penzance,'' and he won a Theatre World Award for it.
