I did think that was odd in the obit linked by kieran. Especially since the Blue Denim film version is available, with Brandon de Wilde in the role played on Broadway by Brinckerhoff, and Berlinger in his Broadway role as the leading male character's best friend. Of course, this kind of thing is not unusual obits.
