| I made myself watch this again to make sure I wanted to reply to your post, which I admit made me laugh. I think your assessment is a bit too harsh, however..... I like Kidman. A LOT. I think she is a great actress, and she has the resume to back that up. "The Hours", "The Others" especially. THIS is her big number? Everything about it is unashamedly derivative, which I hope was their point (or "goal"?) Underwhelmed is an understatement. Ms. Kidman (who delivers musical goods in "Moulin Rouge") deserved more from this picture. She must have done it out of love for its subject, which is admirable. There were better numbers on GLEE. |

| ‘The Prom’ was a mediocre show saved by some dedicated performers - especially Beth Leavel. Why Ryan Murphy decided to preserve it on film is a mystery to me. | |
