| She covers all aspects of her career, including "Hallelujah, Baby!" I hold a special place in my heart for the show and score: it was the first OBC album I bought on my own, after hearing the overture and two songs on the radio in DC. "Being Good" figures prominently in the CBS interview, movingly. (And the last held note in that song is one of musical theater's greats, whatever we understand to be weaknesses of the show's conceit and book.) | |

| Here's a link to the interview that Delvino mentions. In addition to being an incredibly courageous woman with many groundbreaking accomplishments, she seems like an absolutely lovely woman. |

| It was fine as far as it went. I wish it had ended with a more recent performance. When she performed “I Am What I Am” at the Jerry Herman memorial earlier this year she absolutely KILLED! She still’s got it! The “June is Busting Out” is iconic but the lady can still deliver the goods! | |

| I saw Jerry's Girls in 1984 and Leslie absolutely blew the theater to the roof with I Am What I Am. Last saw her live on stage in a musical at The Minetta Lane called Thunder Knocking on My Door. She has always been class act and a world class talent in every way. | |

| That was very nice. You can tell when it's an interview Mo himself sought out rather than just being assigned. I'm almost certain it was his idea. | |

| When he drew a straight line from her Apollo years as a child to the wet June scat improve, I doffed my chapeau, as did Ms. Uggams. It was a very nice observation, and she was happy about it. I also saw her play Sally Bowles on the Guber circuit. Who else saw it? She was predictably wonderful, though the production wasn't an easy fit in the round. |
