We don't get the robust singing in the film version of SWEENEY TODD, but we damn hell get the essence and musicality and the horror, which is enough for me.
The Sondheim score fills in the blanks of the adequate vocals in this tilm, and, supporting players Ed Sanders and others more than satisfy me.
This MOVIE would never have gotten made without Depp and Tim Burton, and I am a fan for life that they got it done. I'm a big horror fan, and a big musical fan, and for me this worked 100 percent.
