despite my mixed feelings about his work (hated GLEE and thought HOLLYWOOD and POLITICIAN were unwatchable; liked OJ and VERSACE and, yes, THE PROM), I think FEUD was wonderful-- smart, fascinating and very much worth the time. Frankly, it only doubled my disappointment with HOLLYWOOD, which I had hoped would be half as good.
It's unfair to Murphy to leave out FEUD, treat POSE so dismissively...and totally ignore his Netflix version of THE BOYS IN THE BAND, which I thought was pretty great (and I didn't like this cast or production on stage...somehow, on film it totally worked for me-- and I credit Murphy for that). |
